Brandon Arant
Brandon has always been known as an insanely hard worker. Whether it’s working his full time job, building and working on the van, building frames for Your Painted Pup or helping anyone with a task, he is putting his whole heart and mind into it.
Being from Augusta, Georgia, he grew up with Hunting Island, SC just a short drive away… which is where he spent most of his childhood.
With adventure in his blood, beach days were constant and international travel was often. Backpacking in Southeast Asia, getting a Sak Yant tattoo (stick and poke) in Thailand, climbing to Everest base camp in Nepal, zip-lining to tree houses in Laos(his favorite)… these were normal adventures for Brandon (oh and the list goes ON and ON).
Van life was the perfect fit for a driven and adventurous individual like Brandon. Seeing as van life is a life long project, it keeps his mind happy and active.
Sarah Arant
Growing up in Charlotte, North Carolina, the adventure was endless for Sarah. Almost every weekend, if work didn’t steal precious wander time away, Sarah would sneak away to the mountains for days at a time. Whether is was backpacking, hiking, biking or running, she was lost in some forest of trees. The adventure was never alone though, her sidekick Ziggy was always right there next to her.
She learned how to camp and hike from her dad at a pip-squeak age. Learning how to carry an over-sized, probably 50L 583 pound, pack as well as how to cook a bomb meal on a campfire were huge plusses.
The van life was a no brainer for Sarah. She has always been a minimalist and doesn’t sit still long enough to truly call anywhere home… yet.
She currently owns the pet portrait business Your Painted Pup (@yourpaintedpup) which is her heart and passion in painting form.
The true way to her heart is a mountain view, glass of wine and puppy snuggles.

Kissy, Ziggy & Koi
Kissy (7 year old Red-Nosed Pitbull) and Ziggy (11 year old adorable mix) are the most driven and adventurous pups out there. Even with age, they both don’t slow down and are the best friends you ever did see.
Kissy is the sleepy BUT speedy kinda gal. Take her on a hike and she’ll go for miles and still want to play. Throw a ball and she’ll run faster than your eyes can even see (she definitely was a Grey Hound in her past life). Her name is Kissy for a reason, if you want endless face kisses, she’s your girl!
Ziggy, 11 year old old-man, is the long-legged-do-it-all kinda pup. He will never say no to an adventure and will be right by your side no matter how scary. Long hikes (like very very long hikes) are his guilty pleasure. If he could choose, he’d want to live on trail his whole life. The van comes close second for him.
He’s our stubborn but noble boy. Oldest and wisest!
Koi, our sweet baby Koi, is only 2 years old and full of life. Like… very full of life. She doesn’t stop. She is the first one to great you and the last one to leave your side. She has an addiction to toys and will do just about anything to get out. She’s our little ray of sunshine. She is still learning the ropes but is such a quick learner.
